Arrive via Rome or Naples

Major airline routes open roughly 11 months before travel dates. Select your arrival hub based on direct flight availability:
Most Direct US Flights

Rome Fiumicino (FCO)

Offers the widest selection of non-stop international flights. From Rome, travel south toward the Naples port via high-speed train or private car.

  • Frecciarossa / Italo High-Speed Train: 70 minutes from Roma Termini station to Napoli Centrale. Trains run every 20–30 minutes.
  • Private Car Service: 2.5 to 3 hours direct from FCO airport to the Naples ferry terminal.
Closest to Port

Naples International (NAP)

The most direct gateway, situated just 15 minutes away from the Naples ferry terminals by car or taxi.

  • Flight Availability: Select seasonal direct routes from the US or one-stop connections through major European hubs (LHR, CDG, FRA, MUC, AMS).
  • Port Transfer: A quick 10–15 minute fixed-tariff taxi or private transport from NAP airport to Molo Beverello port.

Ferries & Hydrofoils to Capri

Over 130 ferries run weekly between Naples and Capri. Arrive at the dock at least 20–30 minutes prior to departure to secure luggage and boarding passes.
Fastest Option

Hydrofoil (Aliscafo)

High-speed passenger vessels operated by Caremar, NLG, and SNAV departing from Molo Beverello pier in Naples.

  • Transit Duration: ~50 minutes direct to Capri Marina Grande.
  • Luggage: Hand baggage included; a small fee (€2–€3 per large bag) is applied at booking or boarding.
  • Passenger Type: Pedestrians only (no vehicles).
Scenic / Amalfi Routes

Standard Ferries & Coast Connections

Standard ferries depart from Calata Porta di Massa, with direct regional routes also available from Sorrento, Positano, and Ischia.

  • Standard Ferry Duration: ~80 minutes (smoother ride across the bay).
  • Coast Connections: Traveling before the wedding? Direct boats run from Sorrento (25 min) and Positano (35 min).
  • Shuttle: A free port shuttle runs between Molo Beverello and Porta di Massa in Naples.

Port Protocol & Luggage Handling

Hotel Baggage Service: After docking at Marina Grande, coordinated porters transport heavy luggage directly to your hotel. Because central Capri is largely pedestrian-only, vehicles cannot drop you off directly in front of many hotel entries. Look for your hotel's signage or the porter service desk at the pier; your luggage will be delivered straight to your room while you take the funicular, convertible taxi, or walk into town.

Luggage Delivery Timing: In peak season, island luggage handling services can take up to two hours to deliver bags from the dock to your room. If you are arriving on the day of an event, keep evening attire, grooming items, and essentials with you in your carry-on.

Island Transportation: Private personal vehicles are not permitted for visitors on Capri. We are providing dedicated private group transit to all wedding weekend celebrations.
